Escape the ordinary. Large canopies of cottonwood, sycamore and mesquite trees are in full bloom along the river where resident black hawks and Great Blue Herons can be seen gliding across the waterway. Late summer and early evening thunderstorms drape waterfalls over glistening crimson parapets.

Twilight trains give passengers a glimpse of the wildlife that comes alive under moonlit skies. The moon dances over the burgundy pinnacles around each bend as the engine’s articulating headlight casts a glow across the evening landscape ahead.

Select Saturday evenings feature our popular Starlight Tours and Tequila Sunset Limited trains while the Grape Train Escapes (wine-tasting trains) highlight select Friday evenings throughout the summer.  Each one enhances the lure of this unique route under illuminated evening skies.

These trains depart during the light of day; reach Perkinsville as the sun bids farewell with a vibrant Arizona sunset, and return when the nocturnal beauty of the Canyon awakens.
